Stahlfrequenz - Биография

Stahlfrequenz is an Industrial formation from Cologne/Germany founded in 2002. Impressed by the power and aesthetics of the industry, they decided to transform those fascinating impressions audiovisually. Since then, they're occupied with developing new sound structures. For one year, one could download their songs at mp3.de. Reactions were more than positive. This enforced their will to go on with producing their kind of music and developing it further. Strenuous commitment and lots of creativity brought them so far that they could sign a record deal with the label Dark Wings in Berlin in 2004. On their debut album 'Erstschlag', Stahlfrequenz convert the atmosphere of ramshackle, cold industry facilities into an acoustic attack full of adrenaline. 'Erstschlag' consists of material of the years 2003 and 2004 and is the consistent conversion of this idea. The diversity of the sound starts at atmospheric sound collages and ends with dancefloor-'killers'. In 2006 the second album 'Coma Themes' was released, still keeping the cold atmosphere of run-down industry and combining them with bone-crunching basslines.
