DJ Disciple is David Banks, an American DJ and house music producer from Brooklyn, New York. In 2002, he hit number one on the Hot Dance Club Play chart with "Caught Up." Vocals on the track were performed by singer Mia Cox. The track was featured in the Showtime television series Queer as Folk.

On 2006, his single, "Work It Out", featuring Dawn Tallman, released under his Catch 22 Recordings label, became a hit record due to the storm it created in Ibiza in 2006, BBC's Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong played the record for three months straight and it was signed by countless labels and compilations like Xtravaganza (UK), Blanco Y Negro (Spain), Poole Music (France), Networks (Italy) and United (Belgium). In (around) June 2008, "Work It Out" was re-released and stayed in the top 40 for over 15 weeks.

The label's last release, "Changes", is a new collaboration with David Tort and DJ Ruff. "Changes" stayed on the Beatport digital top three downloads for two months. Played throughout the Winter Music Conference by DJ’s Roger Sanchez, DJ Dan, and Erick Morillo among a few.

In the UK, DJ Disciple has worked more UK clubs than any American DJ. For the past 12 years, Disciple has performed in at least fifty clubs per year. DJ Disciple is currently working on a book, Around the World in 150 Clubs.
