Prehistory
It was a piercing-cold winter evening. Silhouette of a beautiful ship was cutting waves and working its way, approaching the Paljassaare gulf coast. Fragments of ice were hitting wooden boards of the ship. With a great rumble of rusty chains, “Purple Heart” dropped the anchor. In a moment, old boat hit the water and four men sat into it. Covered in fog, the boat was slowly approaching the land…
Logbook
January 2009.
We reached the land of a town called Tallinn. There were only four of us: Slade Gunpowder – the gunner, Amien d' Or – the boatswain, Speed von Drug – the navigator and Jack D. Bullet – the captain. Others have perished… We walked the old streets of the town for a long while until we heard a great noise coming out of a tavern.
By stepping inside, all members of the crew found themselves at a musical feast. A band of young boys, dressed in pink-back clothes was performing there. Without hesitation old sea dogs kicked them out from the stage and took their instruments.
Slade grabbed a six string guitar, a masterpiece of Spanish masters. Amien got a four-stringed instrument, which fit his hands perfectly. Speed got comfortable with the drum kit. Jack grabbed the microphone stand.
Oh, World! We’ve been wandering in time for too long. You have changed. But people still believe in romance and it means we’ll have some work to do. Music is totally different now, but World – we’ll show you the sound of true rock again!
