Проект Balfor был сформирован в ноябре 1997 в Киеве, Украина, как проект Thorgeir'а - вокал/бас-гитара/гитара, и гитариста Svart'а с целью играть быстрый и мелодичный Black Metal. Группа выпустила свой первый альбом, "Волки Севера", в 2001, и после многих изменений состава вдохновлённый хорошими отзывами об альбоме Thorgeir решил сконцентрировать всю свою энергию на Balfor и развивать группу далее. В ноябре 2005-го пришли бас-гитарист Berowar и ударник Erland. Втроём они сформировали ядро той группы, которой является Balfor сегодня.

Fjorsvartnir

Fjorsvartnir - это датский мелодик-блэк-метал проект мультиинструменталиста по прозвищу Fjorgynn, базирующийся в Копенгагене. Точкой отсчета считается 2007 год, когда Fjorgynn начал писать свои песни. Стоит отметить тот факт, что хоть это и сольный проект, но все же иногда Fjorsvartnir устраивает концертные выступления.

Sorg Uten Trer

On a cold foggy morning of 2006's last days, Retribution came up with the idea of making songs until he made one worth listening to on a melancholic and ghastly beautiful morning like that, should he pass away. He had no experience with recording, making songs with all the metal music instruments, no experience with singing, or with bands, save short terms of guitar playing in 1,5 bands back 10 years ago. However he had all the inspiration in the world, the talent and the feelings and the knowledge of music to express them. He came up with a name that alone spoke for his emotions; Sorrow Without Tears. Or, "Sorg Uten Trer". And so he began gathering the equipment needed for his one man metal band, and knowledge in his self-taught recording techniques. Finally, by August 2007, his debut was recorded and named "Bladesong". Black Panther Metal, Kaisa, and Moonsilver followed with 1 month intervals, investing his spare time from university in unmatched creativity. As he began paying closer attention to his studies he released 2 more chapters. Grave Songs in February and Est Sularus Oth Mihas in July. After a summer break where he was busy with his studies and summer practice, necessary obligations of rotten mortal life, Retribution comes up with a concept album inspired by one of his most favorite books, by "today's Poe", Richard Matheson; "What Dreams May Come". Shadow Symphony, the 7th release of Sorg Uten Trer, 14 months after its debut, is a 40 minute long song, pulling oblivious listeners to the depths of despair and melancholy in a dark hell, as once described by the original author of the inspired book. The spring of '09 welcomed Retribution's acoustic theme album Mistbound. Mistbound took listeners captive with instrumental tunes from each of the four seasons, until the last song; which was a fast paced heavy piece about Skadi, the Winter Goddess. Once again, at the beginning of '10, Sorg Uten Trer released a 9th chapter: For Eternity. Weaved with soft emotional pieces with Retribution's deep and dark clean vocals and heavy SOrg Uten Trer songs, For Eternity has already been the most favorite Sorg Uten Trer album of many fans. Summer/Autumn '10 will be spent writing a glorious 10th album, in the name of the 3rd year anniversary of the band, so stay tuned for news from Retribution, and his journey.

Команду Thrawsunblat основали в 2009 году в городе Фредериктон Дэвид Голд (на тот момент фронтмен Woods Of Ypres) и Джоел Вайолетт (в 2010 он присоединится и к основной группе Голда). По словам Дэвида, название группы является придурочной канадской формой произношения "thrash and blast". Ребята не теряли времени зря, и уже 10 января 2010 года без помощи лейблов они опубликовали в интернете дебютный альбом с незамысловатым названием "Canada 2010". Обложку для него выполнил Бретт Гудчайлд. Релиз получил немалую популярность: уже к лету количество его скачиваний перевалило за десять тысяч.
