The Cosmic Dead

The Cosmic Dead - молодой коллектив психонавтов (в симбиозе с начала 2010-го), выходящий в открытый космос напрямик из "сердца" Шотландии - Глазго. Играют тотальный space-kraut-psych-drone rock, при этом выпускаются на небезызвестном Who Can You Trust? Records. Eternal Tapestry

Eternal Tapestry started in the fall of 2005, conceived after original members Nick Bindeman and Dewey Mahood discovered their mutual love of Sonny Sharrock and Neu! It was these two vastly different artists who helped the band's sound take shape, free improvised guitar with structured rhythms and lots of layered ambient sound. They asked a few friends to join them in the band and so it began. Nick's younger brother Jed moved to Portland, Oregon in the summer of 2006 and joined shortly afterwards. At this time both Nick and Jed were playing drums as part of a six piece band, making very chaotic and dark psychedelic music. A few members came and went around this time, leaving the core trio of Nick, Dewey and Jed to continue on their own. Most of the limited edition LPs released to date document this trio. In 2009 Ryan Carlile joined the band on saxophone and synth, and just in the last year Krag Likins joined as bassist, completing the current line up. The members of Eternal Tapestry are extremely active in the experimental underground. Nick explores minimal synth music as Tunnels, with an album to come on Troubleman Unlimited in 2011. In addition Nick plays guitar in the psychedelic/improv group Jackie-O Motherfucker. Dewey has recorded solo bliss out music as Plankton Wat since 2002, and explores the outer realms of dub as Edibles. Jed has played in the bi-coastal drone/rock band Heavy Winged since 2004 and has released many records with the band over the years, with the latest being a release on Type Records. He also joined Jackie-O Motherfucker as their drummer at the beginning of 2010, and plays in the minimalist/techno project Operative. Ryan plays as one half of the electronic/drone duo Cloaks. Dewey and Jed also collaborate with Barn Owl as the group Garden Sound, whose debut LP came out fall 2010 on Digitalis.

Electric Moon

Дэйв Шмидт (он же Sula Bassana) продолжает радовать любителей психоделического рока качественным материалом. Если в прошлом году это был Interkosmos, то в этом это Electric Moon. Причем, если Interkosmos был прежде всего спейс-роковым проектом, щедро сдобренным семплами, то Electric Moon можно рассматривать, как "back to krautrock roots" - плотные басовые партии, задающие фундамент каждой композиции, смены ритма (по нескольку раз в пределах одного трека).

Electric Sandwich

Electric Sandwich группа из Бонна, которые выпустили только один альбом (одноименный) в 1972 году (номер 1018 в каталоге Brain). Группа была основана в конце 1969 года как объединение свободных сессионных музыкантов. Вместо того, чтобы привычно разрабатывать репертуар коллектива, они решили играть все, что придет в голову. "Получать удовольствие" - таков был их девиз. Вскоре стабильный состав группы наработал несколько аранжированных композиций, в которых оставалось полно места для импровизации и которые отлично иллюстрировали высокий уровень энергетики, особенно на сцене.

Vespero

Образовались в городе Астрахань в 2003 году.
Играют психоделик-прог и неокраут, с вкраплениями пост-рока, драм-н-бейса, трип-хопа, даба, мат-рока и эмбиента.
В концертах часто используют визуальные эффекты (видео, свет, театральные действия).

Eela Craig

Формация со странным названием "Eela Craig" из австрийского города Линца появилась на свет в 1970 году. Следуя высоким художественным стандартам, музыканты затеяли грандиозную смесь психоделики, прогрессива, классики, электроники, джаза и блюза. Барабанщик Хорст Вабер и мультиинструменталист Харальд Зушрадер (орган, гитара, флейта, саксофон) до этого были участниками группы "Melodias", исполнявшей в основном песни "Beatles". Клавишник Хуберт Богнермайр пришел из другой бит-группы, для которой кумирами были "Equals" и "Hollies" (правда, самому Хуберту больше нравились "Procol Harum" и "Pink Floyd"). Басист Герхард Инглиш, выигравший национальный конкурс по аккордеону, любил "King Crimson" и "Gentle giant".

Dom

Dom is a quartet formed by a multi-national musical collective (with members from Germany, Poland and Hungary). Their unique album called "edge of time" was released in a relative discretion in1970. The music reaches the listener into a space, acoustic "trip" dominated by guitars and percussions. Introspect electric organs parts, bass "drones", simplistic "weird" electronic effects are added to the mix in order to deliver an unforgettable psychedelic "voyage". The concept of the album is based upon a bad "trip", its consequences on mind and perception of time (introduced on the cover of the album and by the plaintive recitation of the title track). A group which has similarities with a few experimental krautrock recordings (notably a few curiosities released on the ohr label) but it put a large stress on acoustic, folk musical ideas. An avant garde, dreamy and poetic album that can easily convince every fan of the genre.
