40 Below Summer

Семя команды 40 Below Summer было пущено в 1998 году, когда барабанщик Carlos Aguilar, перуанец по происхождению, начал джэмовать вместе с вокалистом Illidge. Изданный собственными силами EP, названный Sideshow Freaks, постоянные выступления на обоих побережьях дали возможность команде подписать контракт с London/Sire Records. Главный дебют на лейбле, альбом "Invitation To The Dance", был издан в октябре 2001 года, продюсером которого стал легендарным GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Kittie).

Formed in 1998, 40 Ounce (originally known as 40oz. Failure) made an
immediate and lasting impression on music fans in Upstate NY and throughout the world. Having sold over 5000 copies of their debut CD “Working Class Zero”, 40 Ounce began to perform for crowds of over 500 people on a regular basis in the Finger Lakes region. Accumulating over 50,000 plays on the now defunct MP3.com, they reached fans across the globe with their unique aggressive sound.
Following their initial success, the band persevered through some setbacks
to be reborn as 40 Ounce. Combining the intense presence of vocalist
Matty D with the introspective vocals of Jon Lamanna, 40 Ounce redefines the format of a dual vocal rock band. Blending brutal crunch with melodic precision, the guitar work of Ryan McFaul is tactical, yet raw and uncompromising. Driving this wall of sound is the rhythm section of bassist Kory MacLauchlan and drummer Jason Telarico, providing a solid backbone of bottom heavy stability.
With the long awaited release of the new album “Retreading New Ground”, the sky is the limit for 40 Ounce. “Retreading New Ground” combines the raw emotion of their early material with a new focus on songwriting. One listen to their new material will prove their diversity, craftsmanship, and
original sound touches all genres of music without fear or hesitation.
