Cloud Archive, несмотря на малую их известность, заслуженно занимает место одной из действительно красивых инструментальных проектов среди так называемого пост-рока.

Solaris (Symphonic Progressive Rock)(Hungary)
The Hungarian formation SOLARIS was originally founded by some school friends in 1980. The band's name was derived from the title of book by SF writer Stanislaw Lem. After they made impression on a talent contest at The Budai Park for a massive crowd (mainly youth) the band was offered an opportunity to make a record. In '80 SOLARIS released their first single entitled "Rock Hullam" (actually this was a split single, SOLARIS got the B-side). The line-up in the early Eighties was Ferenc Raus (drums), Gabor Kisszabop (bass), Csaba Bogdan (guitars) and the remaining schoolfriends Istvan Cziglan (guitars), Attila Kollar (flute) and Robert Erdesz (keyboards). They released the second single "Eden/Counterpoint" in '81. In '84 SOLARIS released their first album "The Martian Chronicles", it sold almost 40.000 copies. In those days progrock was popular in Hungary: OMEGA had crowds of 100.000 spectators! The classical SOLARIS line-up' between '83 and '85 was Attila Kollar, Istvan Cziglan, Robert Erdesz and newcomers Laszlo Gomor (drums) and Tamas Pocs (bass). In '90 the controlled Hungarian record company was finally willing to release early SOLARIS recordings entitled 1990 (a 2-LP). Then the members of SOLARIS went their own way and joined or founded new bands.
In 1995 SOLARIS was invited as the headliner of the Progfest Festival in Los Angeles by Greg Walker, mastermind behind the USA progrock label-mailorder service Syn-Phonic. He succeeded in persuading the band for a reunion concert (recorded on a 2-CD and partly on a video with other progrock bands ARS NOVA and WHITE WILLOW). The band got a standing ovation by a bunch of real "symphomaniacs"! A year later SOLARIS performed on the Rio Art Rock Festival, organized by the Brasilian "proghead" Leonardo Nahoum. On December 27th 1998 guitarplayer Cziglan died of an incurable illness but he can be heard on the surprising new SOLARIS CD entitled "Nostradamus" ('99), perhaps we will hear more from this marvellous progrock band. The Hungarian label Periferic Records released in 2000 "Back to the Roots - Solaris Archive 1" (a great introduction to the band's history but with a bootleg sound) and the solo-albums "Musical Witchcraft" by Kollar Attila (1998) and "Seven Gates of Alhambra" by the late Istvan Cziglan (1999).
On "The Martian Chronicles" SOLARIS creates a very dynamic and compelling progressive mix of classical and rock music. It's build upon sensational interplay between fiery electric guitar, tasteful keyboards and a powerful flute with lots of changing climates, surprising breaks and bombastic outbursts. Although SOLARIS sound rather unique, elements of JETHRO TULL (flute), MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND (Minimoog solos with pitchbend) and Jean Michel JARRE (electronic intro in the first part of the titletrack) can be traced. The 2-LP 1990 contains typical SOLARIS songs: dynamic and propulsive with spectacular synth runs, fiery electric gutiar and beautiful flute-play. Remarkable is the spacy keyboard sound in some songs and the obvious classical influences. The tracks from the mid-period (1986) sound rather accessible: a catchy and often funny combination of classic, pop and rock. But the most impressive composition is their magnus opus "Los Angeles 2026" (almost 24 minutes long): lots of changing climates, bombastic synthesizers, exciting interplay, compelling crescendos and halfway a long and alternating pianosolo. The songs on the live 2-CD "Live in Los Angeles" sound even more powerful and exciting than on the studio-LP's and the bonus material is great: Bonus Game (14 minutes) includes lots of solos on guitar, drums and bass and "Beyond" (12 minutes) is a typical exciting SOLARIS track.
"Nostradamus - Book of Prophecies" is a captivating album in the vein of SOLARIS but with fresh ideas and a modern sound. The titletrack contains outstanding sonic paintings: a howling electric guitar, fat Moog Prodigy runs ("Mark Kelly meets MANFRED MANN"), native North-American indian chants and the Aboriginal didgeridoo. The other songs includes elaborate and dynamic compositions with many changing climates, spectacular breaks, splendid solos and sensational interplay. A "killer-comeback" by SOLARIS!

For a Minor Reflection

Hailing from Iceland FaMR comprises of four 20-year-olds from Reykjavk, Iceland - Kjartan Holm (guitar), Gufinnur Sveinsson (guitar and piano), Elvar Jn Gumundsson (bass) and Andri Freyr orgeirsson (percussion). Their music is best described as energetic, melodious post-rock, though being the natural creative visionaries they are, the band expand and even subvert their style with almost every song.

Anthony Rother

Anthony Rother - музыкант и владелец собственного лейбла из Оффенбаха (Германия).
Без преувеличения можно сказать, что Ротер сделал весомый вклад в развитие электронной музыки.

Fourth Dimension

There are two projects/groups with the same name.
1) Fourth Dimension is a project started by Strahinja Maleti and Strahinja Zdravkovi, Belgrade-Serbia. They have experimented with sound for more then five years without any boundaries. They are producing ambient, chill-out, trip-hop but yet they also found sanctuary in electronic psychodelic music. Their goal is to achive right frequency and change state of mind. Music is somehow inspired by lifechanging events, people.

Fourth Dimension will make that happen.

Perimeter

Группа Perimeter была образована в городе Санкт-Петербург в июне 2004 года Филиппом "Phil’ом" Терпецким, Николаем "Niky" Юрьевым и Антоном "Tony" Павловым. Начинается напряжённая работа над первым материалом на собственной студии. После полугода наработки материала группа знакомится с сэмплером/клавишником Денисом "Den’ом" Симанским.
В 2004 году Perimeter после долгих поисков находят подходящего басиста – им становится Павел "BJ" Асиновский.
Летом на разных сборниках выпускаются песни, записанные в 2003 году (тот самый "первоначальный материал"). Решается кардинально поменять технику игры и стиль в целом. Первым, экспериментальным треком в новом направлении становится песня "Чужой" . В это же время к группе присоединяется второй гитарист, Jastin, но почти сразу же покидет её.
В 2005 году записывается песня "Смех" для грядущего клипа. Его отснимут уже к декабрю, и он попадёт на дебютный альбом группы в качестве бонуса.
В этом же году происходят фактически кардинальные изменения в составе: барабанщик Phil покидает Perimeter, а также приходит новый вокалист - Никита Шеленков. Предыдущий вокалист, Антон, становится вторым гитаристом, а новым ударником становится Павел "Jim" Лохнин.
В 2006 году группа выпускает дебютный альбом, получивший название "Healing By Festering".
В 2007 вновь происходят изменения в составе – вокалист Никита и басист BJ покидают группу, на место вокалиста приходит Каин, бывший до этого в группе Katalepsy. Новым бассистом становится Tony, что стало для всех большой неожиданностью.
В 2008 году выходит второй альбом Perimeter’а, "Odium Humani Generis"', в поддержку которого группа уже отьездила успешный тур под названием "Death Blow to the Positive Hatred". Также в этом году был записан трек-кавер на песню группы Slayer - "Payback", вышедший на сборнике под названием '"A Tribute To SLAYER '25 Year"'.
6 декабря 2008 года появилось сообщение Cain'a о том, что он покидает группу.
В связи с уходом Никиты Cain`a, для создания своего проекта, группа приступила к поискам нового вокалиста.
После недолгих поисков, выбор пал на Алексея Семёнова (ex-Katalepsy, Architype). Изменения в составе произошли органично, так как Алексей прекрасно знаком с творчеством группы и музыкантами, полностью разделяя взгляды и подход к музыке.
В новом составе группа записала мощнейший клип на песню "Total Fuckin Anti Positive" со второго альбома "Odium Humani Generis" и в его поддержку проехала по центральной части России с туром "Total Fuckin` Perimeter Army tоur" так же презентуя несколько новых треков, доказав, что с годами музыка и выступления группы не утратили своей мощи.
В июне 2009 года из состава группы уходит барабанщик Павел Лохнин, по причине разногласий о стиле исполнения будущего материала.
На смену Павлу приходит Ян Юрин, являющийся барабанщиком известной группы "Fourth Dimension", которая прекратила своё существование в январе 2008 года,но запомнилась всем ценителям качественной тяжелой музыки.
В сентябре 2009 года из состава уходит вокалист Алексей Семёнов и группа приступает к поискам нового вокалиста. 11 октября 2009 года группа выступает в Петрозаводске,где к ней присоединяется бывший вокалист и голос первого альбома Никита Шеленков.

Autistici

Autistici - приверженец повествовательной структуры в музыке, которую он создают с помощью пространственного звука. Однако в данном контексте подразумевается пространство внутри слушателя, музыка преображается в соответствии с его внутренним миром. Источниками для работы служат текстурный звукодизайн, аранжировка и найденные звуки/полевые записи, а цель - детализация как естественного, так и искусственного окружения, раскрытие потенциала, заключённого в любой мелочи, которая легко может стать важным элементом в композиции. Увлечённость игрой взаимодействий внешнего и внутреннего мира - основная черта звучания музыки Autistici: шум винила, скрип двери, ритм сердцебиения и дыхания и т.д.

Yellow6

Yellow6 - сольный проект одного человека Джона Аттвуда (Jon Attwood), музыку которого можно описать как сплав стилей post-rock, space-rock, electronica, shoegaze и ambient.
