The Year Ends In Arson is a five piece metal/hardcore act hailing from Orlando FL, with pummeling breakdowns, catchier than hell choruses, and bi-polar vocals these swampland natives make sure that every single performance feels like their last one. Starting off with a simple concept, to not only make music that can cover every aspect of influence these gentleman bring to the table, but to have meaning behind every word sung. With that in mind these Florida natives crafted up their debut full length, "Vessels" for Indianola Records "The meaning behind Vessels is just that, we are all vessels, we carry ourselves only as far we allow ourselves to go. Or just the opposite of that, we can become the means to our own ends" says front man David Nolan. Sounding like a mix between Motley Crue, Killswitch Engage and Trivium, not only do these guys serve up a record with attitude for miles, but they have forged a truly unique sound.

It’s deafening, the sound of An Early Ending’s notoriety. It is not in the wicked screams, the sweetly searing guitar lines, or the signature drop of the 808 that define their music as a furious sound for a furious time. No, the sound of their success only comes in the spaces between their songs, as an ever growing roar from their rapidly increasing fanbase. That roar is the collective power of this group of fresh faced kids, it is their ability to excite, to thrill, and to crush both their audience and their critics with their music. When child hood friends Logan Summey (drums) and Alex Runk (vocals), first dreamed up having a band in 2004 they certainly never thought they would get to play with their heroes in Haste the Day twice in one year. After all, they were just freshmen in High School at the time, and it was not even so long ago that they managed to recruit Justin Wantz (Guitar), Greg Hildabrand (Guitar), and Paul Stager (Bass). Despite their relative youthfulness An Early Ending has moved forward, earning the title of Harrisburg’s undisputed heavyweight champions of metal. They find themselves constantly on tap for shows from Philly to Pittsburgh and consistently being called upon to help support bands such as Haste The Day, August Burns Red, Calico Systems, and From A Second Story Window. How could they have realized the trajectory of their ascent? In all likelihood, they just woke up one morning, late for school after playing the Trocadero and realized that their once fledgling project had taken on a life of its own, one which has the potential to be more than just a cool way to steal girls from the football team. As 2007 moves forward, the boys from An Early Ending are preparing for a number of firsts: their first official release, their first summer tour, and their first record deal. This is the future of these young phenoms, most of whom aren’t old enough to have a voice recognized by this country; that hardly matters though, the fans in the audience are hearing An Early Ending loud and clear.

Bear vs. Shark were a post-hardcore band from Highland, Michigan.
The members of the group have known each other all their lives with some members forming friendships as early as pre-school. The band actually formed during their college years when the members were playing in separate projectsThe group's original drummer Brandon Moss left the group and was replaced by Ashley Horak. The group has cited classic rock and punk as well as The Clash, Fugazi, and Motown as influences to the group's sound.The group initially sent a demo to Equal Vision Records and a representative from the label flew out immediately to sign the groupSince the release of Right Now You're in the Best of Hands… the band has toured the United States extensively headlining & opening for other major acts such as Coheed and Cambria. The group quickly gained attention from fans and fellow musicians as well. The group is also known for their high-energy stage show most notably by Marc Paffi, who is known to move around the stage frantically during performances. Most of the band members also switched playing instruments during their sets, which was a regular occasion. Though it has been circulated that the band's name comes from the shape of Michigan, Gaviglio has said in an interview that they believed it was "super badass and sounded interesting."
On December 21, 2005 the band posted on their website that they decided to call it quits. Although the band didn't cite any specific reason for the break up John Gaviglio was featured in the December issue of Alternative Press where he did an op-ed piece on the hardships of touring extensively. The band has also been very vocal that they didn't like their touring conditions
