A nine person ensemble bonded by the unwavering desire to make you, the listener, and the rhythm become one; the secret love children of Donna Summer and George Clinton serving up an orgasmic feast of funk, disco, electro and soul. Anchored by former "H&LA" alumni Carter Yasutake, Morgan Wiley, and W. Andrew Raposo and powered by the enormous vocals of chanteuse Tiffany Roth, Midnight Magic teleported the masses to the dance floor this summer with their interstellar 12" "Beam Me Up" on Permanent Vacation. Rounding out the Brooklyn based unit is Caito Sanchez, Nick Roseboro, Max Goldman, Jason Disu and Andrew Frawley. Spring 2011 will see their long awaited follow up single "Drop Me A Line" on Permanent Vacation. Mixed by former DFA house engineer and Sticky Disc founder Eric Broucek and featuring remixes by the likes of Juan Maclean (among others), this fiery banger is sure to become the anthem of the love-slave evolution on Alpha Centauri if not dance music lovers all over the galaxy.

Moullinex

If there is an underlying trait in all good music, it must be its ability to crush boundaries between genres, dancefloors and couches, twelve inches and YouTube clips. Enter Moullinex, Lisbon and Munich-based Luis Clara Gomes. Originally from a small countryside town in Portugal, he was surrounded by music and musicians during childhood and since an early age has been solely dedicated to the pursuit of his own sound, refusing to adhere to a specific genre or scene, but taking comfort in disco and house as a starting point. That being said, if there is a common trait between his productions, it must be the careful craft of melodies, a strong degree of human touch in machine- based music, unpretentious synthesizers, desperate guitars, striking basslines, and beats reminiscing from a not so distant dancefloor past. Luis often collaborates with friends – in fact, most of the electric bass you’ll hear in his productions is responsability of renaissance man Luis Calada (yes, another Luis), and the guitars are crafted by Bruno Cardoso, the creative force more commonly known as Xinobi.

Padded Cell

The Emperor Machine

Проект The Emperor Machine был рожден Энди Мичемом (Andy Meecham) из желания создать звучание, с использованием старинного музыкального оборудования и методов семплирования 70-х годов. Название проекта было взято чуть ли не на угад, но стимул создания был отнюдь не случаен: первое серьезное заявление Emperor Machine ‘Aimee Tallulah is Hypnotised’ было основано на старых технологиях записи и оказалось весьма успешным. Особенно стоит отметить дебютный сингл 'SH3A', который в 2003 году ничем не уступал модным веяниям и выделялся оригинальными эффектами старого звучания.

The KDMS

Аббревиатура The KDMS расшифровывается просто: >Kathy Daimond >Maximilian Skiba. Это совершенно новая коллаборация одной из лучших современных диско-хаус вокалисток и многообещающего юного диско-хаус продюсера. Давнишние приятельские отношения привели к сотрудничеству и весьма плодотворному. За год существоваия проекта, они записали с десяток песен - в меру диско, в меру поп - и подписали контракт с лейблом Gomma, на котором через некоторое время должен выйти их альбом. Пока приходится довольствоваться первой EP, стопроцентным хитом Never Stop Believing, на которой отметился с ремиксами живая легнда диско, диджей-резидент культовых клубов Studio 54 и The Gallery Ники Сиано, и эксклюзивными живыми выступлениями проекта.
Сладкоголосой певице и молодому музыкальному дарованию прочат большое будущее: с одной стороны, их песни такие же простые и запоминающиеся, как у современных поп-див Roisin Murphy или Sophie Ellis Bextor, с другой - они все же продолжают стоять в арьергарде нового андерграундного диско.
